Libraries – books and equipment!

We are very happy to announce that our library is now open to the public! More than 200 books on photography in a reference library at the gallery, and equipment to borrow. Drop by to see what we have to offer!

Please be aware, Myanmar Deitta will be closed from 10th April for 10 days as we celebrate Thingyan – see you in the new year!

From tomorrow for 5 days we’ll be hosting an exhibition for the Italian Embassy showcasing some of the works submitted to their photo competition ‘Yangon Cultural Heritage: Looking back at the past in order to develop a sustainable future’. Then on Thursday we’ll be hosting National Geographic legend Ira Block and award-winning photographer Ari Espay for talks about their work as leading international photographers.    

Ziv Koren: Writing with Light

Our latest exhibition, a masterclass in the use of light by Israeli photographer Ziv Koren, opens Monday 18th January at 10am. Ziv will be giving an introduction to the exhibition and a lecture on his life as a photographer on opening day at 11am. Free entry and all welcome!
