POST FILLED | APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED! Thanks to everyone who got in touch and all the great people we met.

Finally our office is up and running, our gallery is nearly ready for its first exhibition and the first workshops are being designed for early next year. We need some help!

Myanmar Deitta is currently searching for an enthusiastic and resourceful individual to assist with the running of our gallery space and to be involved with the wide range of projects we have coming up. If you have a look through the site you’ll see the kind of things we’re working on – exhibitions, film screenings, photo and film projects and workshops with some amazing local and international documentary artists.

Duties will be varied but revolve around helping to organise our program of photo exhibitions, film screenings and workshops, starting with a major photo project we have running over the next few months. Fluent Burmese and good English skills are essential (translation will be involved) but other than that reliability, a good work-ethic, enthusiasm and a love of photography and film are more important that any qualifications. The successful applicant will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the organisation and fill roles from translation and research to assistance with film and photography projects.

The post is full-time with a three month probationary period beginning as soon as we find the right person. K300 000 per month starting salary.

Send a CV to or give us a call on 0931411921 for more details.

Can’t wait to hear from you. Good luck!
